Tapping a user's location in their profile opens Maps app without actually showing the location

Encountering this on Android and with Google Maps. Expected behavior would be to automatically input the user's location, and go directly to it. Actual behavior is just showing my current location with nothing in the search bar. Maybe the location information isn't being passed to the app properly?
