Can't upload any picture to profile

Since i;ve gotten the app the only picture i had was what was imported from my telegram once i removed that to try and replace it with something better i haven't been able to upload any pictures. I've tried logging in again and resetting the app as well as reinstalling it and nothing changed the fact any picture i select just doesn't show up in the preview or at all.
